Unbroken Dreams was established as a non-profit organization to help less fortunate people develop self-esteem and rebuild their lives through housing, health, education, and employment services aimed at restoring the resident as a responsible member of the community. We provide long-term housing and life skills training for homeless families, dislocated veterans, and people who have been previously incarcerated as they move from dependent to self-sufficient lifestyles.
We believe that people have a difficult time integrating into society after incarceration or war if they do not have the fundamentals of life: a home, a job, and a feeling of community. Providing only one of these would ''put a band aid'' on the problem but would not fix it for the long-term. People placed in this situation are in desperate need of housing as well as life skills to empower them to self-sufficiency. Our goal is to empower our users to self-sufficiency by providing a program that will provide the necessary life skills to assist them in their journey. While in the program, participants can focus on their future and improve their lives through counseling, classes, meetings, volunteer opportunities, work therapy, job skills training, work experience opportunities, and assistance searching for and obtaining employment. Participants learn effective communication and conflict resolution. Additionally, they benefit from numerous supportive services, including life coaching and financial coaching.
