About Us

Established in 1972, CFY proudly supports youth athletics programs and organizations with an emphasis on skill-building activities, reaching over 10,000 children annually and expanding. Funding efforts are aimed at providing the children of Pinellas County the opportunity to participate in their chosen activity unhindered by costs.

CFY’s grant program funds thousands of participant registration fees, supports the purchase of equipment upgrades and safety measures, and assists qualified athletes striving to reach higher levels of competition on a regional/national level. This program offers community-based support to organizations who work with the under-served youth.

In 2022 CFY’s growth included the continue expansion of the ROJ Postsecondary Scholarship program. New for 2022 CFY provided funding assistance for youth arts and culture programming, and support for many other community initiatives. This serves as a dynamic resource committed to creating lasting impacts in the lives of children.

For the first part of 2023 CFY has facilitated transportation for four Pinellas County Elementary Schools to participate in the Title 1 Water Safety Program that provides children in kindergarten through second grade a two-week water safety course with local community and city programs. At the completion of this school year nearly 1000 children will have received 5,796 lessons.
